Foreword[edit | edit source]

You should always be aware of the hateful "scientific" right-wing mouthpieces such as RationalWiki. They would say that the Alternative Wiki is a "crank magnet". We can prove that they are not always factual, e.g. in UFO cases. Despite many disagreements, we probably mostly agree of everything. The main difference is in the style of rhetoric, where the RationalWiki is disappointed and hateful and we are ... neutral?

Alternative Wiki's purpose[edit | edit source]

Our purpose is to create a web-based, free content encyclopedia of truthful branches of knowledge, in an atmosphere of mutual respect and cooperation, while recognizing the corrupted sources of information in the mainstream and common knowledge. The goal of a Alternative Wiki article is to create a comprehensive and neutrally written summary of existing truthful knowledge about a topic. Editors are encouraged to be bold in editing in a fair and truthful manner with a considering, connect-the-dots style. Articles should have an encyclopedic style with a formal tone instead of essay-like, argumentative, promotional, or opinionated writing. The five pillars is a popular summary of the most pertinent Wikipedia principles.

Differences to Wikipedia[edit | edit source]

Alternative Wiki is very similar to Wikipedia, and you should consider us having almost same rules than Wikipedia.

Main differences in rules are:

  • We don't do strictly mainstream. Even Wikipedia doesn't stick to facts if it is against mainstream. For example: recent FOIA articles prove some UFO events to be true, which Wikipedia considers to be conspiracy theories. We approve facts that hurts, too.
  • We do only one alternative theory per category at a time. We don't do the Wikipedia's comprehensive "science rules, but here are all the alternatives" product. These selections of theories can be discussed and voted, but initially the list will be that, which is in the following chapter.

Selected alternative theories[edit | edit source]

All theories doesn't fit simultaneously to this wiki, so they must be limited to one per category. Characteristics of a good alternative theory are:

  • it considers that scientific method is good, but the scientific consensus can be wrong, as it has been many times in the history
  • it uses common measurements OR has a detailed and logical reasoning why the common measurement is not accurate.
  • it shows the conflict of logic in the theory, which is accepted by the mainstream scientific community.
  • it supports subjective experiences of people or explains them politely with a bigger picture.

Currently used theories per category are:

Category Theory Reason
History The New Chronology by Anatoly Fomenko The quality is excellent. It shows conflicts in the mainstream history. The new chronology has much higher integrity than the mainstream chronology.
Physics Universe of particles. A Theory of Physics by Fredrik Nygaard While being vague in some cases, the theory has higher integrity than the mainstream physics.
Psychology Sub- or unconscious motivation Sigmund Freud "opened the cage" of subconscious motivation and which cannot be closed. As MKULTRA studies shows, there is a lot of going on under "conscious interface".
Ufology FOIA papers tells enough The 2010 Clinton FOIA archive was unbelieveable. It proved many UFO related events, which are considered in Wikipedia to be conspiracy theories. We also know from history, how officials deny everything until they are forced to tell something.
Paranormal Consciousness described by Rupert Sheldrake Why? Just because it's in opposition to RationalWiki's brain-centric worldview.
Education Waldorf education While there is many alternative education schemes, the Waldorf education is the most prominent one with a lot of good feedback.
Alternative medicine Profound life-changing spiritual experiences are good Nature is full of potential to positively affect your body and mind.
Denialism Global warming happens because of cosmic rays or something, not CO2. Science. (citation needed)
Conspiracy theories Moon landing and 9/11 were psy ops There are bits and pieces which doesn't match the mainstream narrative, such as certainly 3D rendered planes in the 9/11 case. The moon landing was probably filmend in a studio.
