Painting by artists Cesare Nebbia and Giovanni Guerra allegedly 1585-1590. The "antique" plot is depicted. Kumskaya Sibyl burns six of the nine books of prophecy [1374], p.36. Most likely, one of the typical scenes of the Reformation epoch is symbolically shown here, when imperial “Mongolian” books that became objectionable were burned throughout Western Europe.
