Summary[edit | edit source]
The title page of the propaganda book Mirror of Spanish Tyranny, published for the first time allegedly in 1596. Depicted are the "tyrants who suppressed the progressive reformation." Namely, the Spanish king Philip II, Don Juan of Austria (named here Don Ian) and the Duke of Alba (named here Duc d'Alve). Thus, the Western European Reformed rebels "glued labels" to those who sought to suppress the rebellion. Adapted from [330], v. 3, insert between pages 280-281.
