Zemsky Cathedral in Russia in 1613. Ancient miniature depicting the election of Tsar Mikhail Fedorovich Romanov. Apparently, at that time the old Horde custom of sitting at krug'gom meetings was still preserved. The benches on which members of the Cathedral sit are located around the circumference. It reminds a well-known Cossack circle, advice. Adapted from [331], vol. 1, p. 218.
