Meaning of the Scandinavia in ancientness[edit | edit source]

It is somewhat strange - why in the Ethnographic Reference, compiled by E.K. Melnikova in her book [523], devoted to the Scandinavian chronicles, there is no word SCANDINAVIA. Only Skaney is indicated - Skåne, a region in the south of Sweden, Skaun is Schoen, a county in the north of Central Norway, and that’s all. The word SCANDINAVIA for some reason is missing from the list, and we do not find an explanation of what it means in antiquity and where it came from. And therefore we have to think on this topic ourselves.

Let’s follow our method — let's turn to the medieval PERSONAL SOURCES. Do you know what medieval Englishmen called SCANDINAVIA? They called her GOTHY, and the Scandinavians called her GOTHI! This important fact is reported by V.I.Matuzov in [517]. Recall also that the Scandinavians were convinced of the settlement of their countries FROM SWITCHED GREAT, that is, FROM SCYTHIA. For example, they called Sweden, therefore, they called Mala Svitod, see chapter 9: 27 of this book.

As we have said, the word SCYPHIA was written and sounded in several slightly different ways. Among which the most common was the following: SCITHIA, that is, sounded without vocalizations as SKT or SKD. Therefore, we express the following thought.

Having populated the northern countries, the Scythians "Mongols" = great ones, they could easily have called them Scythian NEW, that is, SKD-NOVA. But when read out loud, the SKDNOVA combination is instantly voiced as SCANDINAVIA! So could be the name of SCANDINAVIA = Scythia NEW.

And there were probably several such "New Scythians". We all know about the existence of the region of ASCANIA NOVA, near present-day Astrakhan, on the territory of Russia so far. By the way, the name ASTRAKHAN is probably derived from the phrase Asian Tatar Khan, that is, AC + TR + KHAN.

Isn’t this NISSANA NOVA also a remnant of one of the “new Scythians” that arose with the growth of the “Mongolian” Empire and its conquest of more and more new areas? Then partially lost.

One more note. It is not excluded that SKANIA also meant AS-KANIYA or AS-KHANIYA, that is, the Asian Khanate. In the sense of the kingdom. Then SCANDINAVIA could mean: ASIAN KANATISM NEW.

By the way, the origin of the word ASTRAKHAN from the combination of AC + TR + KHAN = Asian Tatar Khanate is quite consistent with its other name - Tmutarakan. That probably meant TM + TR + KAN, that is, FEMA, in the sense of the province, of the TATAR KHAN or Khanate. Today, some commentators suggest identifying Tmutarakan with Kerch, others with Astrakhan, and still others with Taman.

So, SCANDINAVIA is, apparently, NEW SCYPHIA, also called GOTHY.

In conclusion - a small, but instructive touch. In the book "New Chronology of Rus" we have already suggested that the famous "way from the Varangians to the Greeks", which the Scandinavians allegedly used to get to Byzantium through the Dvina or Nevsko-Dneprovsky way, never actually functioned. And it is a fantasy of the Scaligerian-Romanov story.

We find an unexpected confirmation of our idea in EA Melnikova. Speaking of the way "from the Varangians to the Greeks," she writes: "NO ONE OF THE ROADMEN (i.e., guidebooks - Auth.) XII-XIII BB. DOESN'T KNOW THIS ROUTE" [523], p.186. Which is natural. Nobody went like that.
